Zenoss 4.2.4 dedupid - summary field is longer

After upgrading from 3.2 to 4.2.4 I noticed that the dedupid is longer now.  The last part of the dedupid is the "summary" field.  it's about another 50 characters longer.  Is there any way to customize the dedupid concatenation.  I'd like to shorten the "summary" part of the dedup back to what it was in 3.2
