Hi All,
We're using Zenoss Core 4.2.4 running on CentOS 6.
About a week ago, all of a sudden extremely high traffic start on the loopback interface - e.g in the last 3 hours it's processed over 80GB of data.
At the same time, CPU usage spiked - from previously being very low CPU usage, it now consistently runs between 65% - 90% used.
We've isolated this behaviour to the zeneventd daemon, if I stop the daemon the CPU usage drops down to normal and loopback interface utilisation drops dramatically as well.
If I do a tcpdump -n -i lo I can see that most of the loopback traffic seems to be running from the mysql process.
Does anyone have any advice as to how we can investigate what's causing this? Is it even a problem for Zenoss or is this behaviour normal? To us, it seems like something is wrong because we had been running for about a year now without this kind of utilisation.
Thanks
